Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Sokoshira ("the Service") handles user information.

1. Addresses You Enter

• The Service does not require registration and does not collect any personally identifying information.
• Searched addresses and coordinates are used only to return the assessment result and are not stored on our servers.
• We do not record search history linked to any individual.
• The "Comparison List" is stored only in the user's browser (in the URL) and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

2. Communication with External Services

To produce an assessment, our server sends queries — including the coordinates being checked — to the following institutions:

• Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (hazard map tiles, GSI tiles, elevation, designated emergency shelters, natural disaster monuments, address search)
• National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience, J-SHIS (earthquake hazard information)
• Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (liquefaction tendency map)

These queries are solely to retrieve public data and do not transmit any information that identifies an individual user.

3. Location Data

Your browser's location is accessed only when you use "Use my current location." The coordinates obtained are used only for the assessment and are not stored. You can still use the Service by entering an address even if you decline this permission.

4. Cookies & Analytics

The Service does not use cookies for advertising purposes. If analytics tools are introduced in the future, this policy will be revised to disclose the tool and its purpose.

5. Access Logs

For stable server operation and abuse prevention, access timestamps and request details may be temporarily logged. These are used only for statistical purposes and incident response.

6. Revisions

This policy may be revised as needed. Significant changes will be posted on this page.
